What is the single best search engine optimization (SEO) tool to help position a brand new website on Google?
In the next few days I am posting a brand new website that will primarly feature photography of a particular Canadian province. I am also planning to publish at least one photography poster featuring my work. With these elements in mind, is there a particular SEO tool that I really should work with(?) or is there a set of tools that are considered the absolute best and most valuable?
Sprank was too harsh regarding SEO.
Well SEO is one of the best and cost effective things which you can do with your business and gain lots & lots of popularity.
First step you should do is to look out for keywords using the following tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Search for keywords and you will also find some similar words related to your keywords. Decide on keywords which are most related to your business and do the following activities:
Social Bookmarking - It means bookmarking your website on various Social Bookmarking websites like digg.com, delicious.com, jamespot.com, fanpop.com etc.
Question & Answers websites. Answers questions related to your business and get visitors to visit your website. There are many Q & A websites like Yahoo Answers, Blurtit.com, answerbag.com. yedda.com etc.
Above two will help you get referral traffic and some dofollow links from bookmarking websites will also help you in increasing website popularity.

How Can A Website Newbie Easily Increase Website Traffic For FREE!?
I have recently set up my own online dating website invitemeforcoffee.co.uk which to be fair is doing ok with over 2000 hits since it went live on the 23rd December 2009, but I want to increase traffic as much as possible for free and im looking for the best tips on doing this.
Increasing traffic will cost money. It’s called advertising. No one will give that away free, unless it’s worth nothing to start with.
My website traffic stopped?
I use to get majority of my traffic from google.. My website is almost 2 years i use to get on average 7000+ page impressions per day. since Jan 1 my website traffic from google just stopped completely stopped and now impressions hardly ever go over 1000.. any ideas
checked web master tool and every thing seems OK i haven’t done any major changes to my website actually haven’t changed a thing..
I get my traffic from posting links on forums uploads to partner sites (pirate bay) comments on forums basically just leaving my url around the place… I didnd use any paid services to get traffic, my site just grew with time… my PR was 4 before this begun now its 3
Well, if this is a marketing scheme it’s done a good job cause I went over to your site and searched it on Google. You haven’t changed anything with regards to tags? Where was your traffic coming from? I need more information to help you out. What were the keywords people used to search for your site? How did you market your site? Did you use paid for links, link exchanges, or partnerships? All of this can matter in the long run, and perhaps Google has just figured out something that you’ve been doing ‘black hat.’ It’s hard to tell without more information.
Why do I get inconsistent traffic to my website?
One day I’ll have several hundred page views and the next ill only have 50 or so…It seems to go on an every other day basis…Why is that? I updated the site everyday so I dont understand…How can I get more consistent traffic…

It could be because on how you are promoting it,
if you use twitter you will get a daily amount of traffic as well and other sites like Digg and such.
You can get daily good traffic with information from http://www.slymarketing.com they show you how to get good traffic that isn’t inconsistent.
How much can people make owning a website through google ads and Yahoo Ads? average, success, ratio to traffic?
let say 1000 visitor a day, 10000 a day, 1 million a day?
but this could be a start? isnt it better to go directly to advertiser when the traffic is high already rather than a startup?
There is no way you could really know how much money would be made through Google and Yahoo! ads. There are too many variables.
Take Google for example, which would be Google Adsense.
First of all, they do not really tell you the percentage of money they are going to pay you. They just pay you part of what they get from the advertiser. So there is no way to know exactly what percentage you get from the advertiser. People assume it is 50%, but that is not the case.
Second - it depends on the market/niche that your site is on. For example, Weight Loss would be much more lucrative than Cat Toys. Advertisers in the Weight Loss Market pay much more than Advertisers in the Cat Toys Market.
Your conversion rate (the rate at which people click on your ads) will depend on many things as well. Ad placement, ad color and layout and much more. On average, you could earn a 1-3% conversion rate.
So if you get 1000 visitors per day, then you could get as much as 30 clicks per day. Sometimes your conversion rate might be even higher (it all depends on the topic and all that other stuff), so maybe you could have a 10% conversion rate (very high way above average), and that would get you 100 clicks per day. The amount of clicks you can get is easier to estimate.
The problem is that you could never know how much you will get paid. You can use Googles keyword tool in order to estimate, but even then - its hard to tell how much you would get paid.
Most of the time it is anywhere from $0.03 per click to $0.50 per click - and sometimes (once again depending on the topic), you could get as much as a couple of dollars per click. Back to the averages, if you have 1000 visitors, and you get $0.10 per click, then you would make around $5 per day.
If you want to make money from a website, this is the worst way (easiest, but not the most lucrative). Go directly to the advertisers, and you will make more than double for your traffic.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: * It would be the right thing to start with Google Adsense or a similar program when just starting out. Except, your question was about how much you could make - so, although you could make a lot with Google adsense (with tons of traffic), you would make much more with private advertising.
Is there web designer/developer that can give assurance for search optimization?
Hi Folks
Where can i find good web designer/developer/company that can give assurance the that once the keyword is keyed. The website will guranteed be in the top search list.
I heard it is call SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION.
no one can guarantee top search list results and it would cost you a fortune if it was possible and they always change the algorhythms anyway - you won’t stay on top for long without continued expensive payments to the search engine
What’s a ‘Unique View’ on a website? I’m using Google Analytics and not sure what it means.?
I’m trying to get more people to view my blog, and want to see if the changes I’m making are effective to get more traffic to the website…Thanks for any help!
A normal view counter will simply show how many times a page has been accessed (regardless of who is accessing it).
A smart or unique view counter only counts unique visitors. If the visitor refreshes the page for example, the view account does not go up. There are no universal rules for how unique visits are decided, but typically it is one of two ways. Either the counter keeps track of each visitor by IP address so that there is only 1 view per IP address, or the counter stores a cookie in the user’s browser and does not count the user again if the cookie is still there. Sometimes an expiry date will be set so that previous visitors are counted again after a certain time period.
Does blocking social networking sites will increase traffic or website ranking in search engines?
Social networking sites can INCREASE your site’s traffic… Why on earth would you think that "blocking" them would help you get traffic?
Social networking in general can help to build up traffic to your site, but do VERY little to help your site’s rankings in the search engines UNLESS 1) you have a huge following and some of your followers begin linking to your site from their web sites or 2) you have something that goes viral on because of social networking and people begin linking to your site.
It’s LINKS that you get through social media that cause your pages to rank better in the search engines’ organic rankings.
What volume of traffic should a website have in order to get VC Funding?
I am looking to launch a site that I think could be fantastic (I guess we all have an idea!) Does anyone know the amount of traffic a website ought to have in order to get interest from a Venture Caitalist business.
The days of the dot.com boom where VC’s paid unbelievable amounts of cash to fund zero revenue company’s who had nothing but a web site and some traffic stats are long gone.
Watch the ‘Dragons Den’ on TV to gain an insight on what VC’s are looking for .. essentially it’s a ‘unique product’ (with Patents) plus Turnover & Profit.
If all you have is an idea, too bad … the hard work is proving that there is a Market for your idea by actually selling something & making a Profit … VC’s may still invest in a product that has yet to make a profit but they will want >50% of your ‘company’ so they can control how the money is spend.
