Is it better to build a small business site in yahoo or google to get better optimization?

I’m going to be needing a small business website and i’ve heard it’s better to let Yahoo or Google host it to get better and quicker optimization and seen better. Also, I will be using a photo gallery (i’m a fishing guide) and what photo gallery is good to embed that picks up easily in the search engines. Right now I use Photobucket and it doesn’t optimize worth anything.

Ah, the magic SEO questions! First of all, they keep changing the rules, secondly, there is no one answer for this unless you are prepared to spend a ton of money, and even then it may not be long term results for you. Google is definitely the giant, but it is easier to get lost in that web…Multiple exposure, most of which is free, will all combine to help your SEO results. You Tube, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Photo Sharing sites, load your "stuff" on to as many as possible (all pointing to your main site, no matter where it is hosted) and update as often as possible, your rankings will climb and hold higher positions for a longer period of time this way. Picassa Web Albums and even Twitter Pics would be a great tool for you to use for the images. Do not discount videos, everyone is getting lazy and they do not want to read anymore, they expect to be wowed. You can even embed your videos to multiple sites and increase you SEO that way. I am a huge fishing fan and nothing would inspire me more to book you than seeing some cool videos of your clients actually catching fish, the local scenery etc. The videos do not have to be professional by any means, get your teenage nieces, nephews, neighbors to help you out with this.
So, bottom line, where you host in the long run has sooo little to do with your SEO, a free blogspot will do just as well if you get traffic to it effectively. Hope this helps.
Good Luck, feel free to email me if you do not understand this rant!

How much on average do you earn through google adsense on a low traffic website?

Just need an average if i can get one?

It is hard to get an average with Adsense

A site with only 200 pageviews a day can earn $5 a month, while another site with the same amount of traffic can earn about $500.

With Adsense, traffic is just one of the factors, but it is not the most important factor. Your earning depends on

(a) responsiveness of audience to the ads (users looking to book a travel to Spain comes to your site about tourist destinations in Spain then clicks on an ad about hotels in Spain)
(b) ad format
(c) ad placement
(d) ad colors - sometimes ads blended into the content works wonders, but sometimes ads that contrast your site colors work best
(e) number of ad units on a page

How can I get my new website indexed on google quickly and get lots of traffic?

I need as much advice as possible. I really need to get my site on google quickly.

Hello Get site quickly,

Your website is new, so you may have to wait a while to get indexed in google. However, when I developed my site a little over a year ago, I was indexed in google and the other search engines within a week. I can give you an idea of what you can do:

FIRST YOU DON’T WANT A LOT OF TRAFFIC- yOU WANT QUALIFIED TRAFFIC( people who are actually interested in what you have to offer).

1. What’s the objective of your website? - is it ecommerce, do you want to provide information or is it a mixture of both?

2. Do your Keyword Research- What is the theme of your website what is it about? What words are people using to find your site? You can find this out by using paid keyword tools like wordtracker.com or keyword discovery. However, google keyword external and overture is free keyword tools.

3. Once you have the right keywords, you have to strategically place them on your website (Title Tags, header tags, meta-description). Get your Search engine optimization in place, make sure you keep your flash to a minium and create" Alt tags for images & videos.( Search engines can’t read flash, images or videos).

4. Create compelling content that engages your reader to learn more about your business. (Provide Keyword Rich Articles, Instructional Videos, Slideshows, Quizzes, Surveys). Basically, make your site sticky. The longer people stay on your site, the more they get to know like and trust you. And that means people will buy from you!

5. Create compelling copy - action words that intrigue the reader to take action, ( Book the session now, sign up for my newsletter, download my report). Tell the prospect what you want them to do. ( Remember you want "qualified traffic" to turn into conversions & sales.

6. Make sure you have a way to keep in contact with visits your site. Set up a contact form or a affordable email marketing system like aweber.com ( keep in touch, people are too busy with their everyday life. They can visit your site and forget to return.)

7. Know your strategy behind every tactic. Here are a few tactics that can help you get traffic(remember you want qualified traffic):

1. Forum Posting - Great way to get article ideas & great way to get 1 way backlinks for seo purposes.

2. Article Marketing - great way to show your expertise & get high quality backlinks .

3. Online Press Releases- great way to get backlinks & get exposure about your brand/business

4. Social Media Marketing (youtbue, twitter, facebook) great way to build relationships, engage customers, and get feedback on your company.

5. Don’t forget about offline strategies, Direct Mail ( Sales Letters& Postcards) still work wonders.

6. Directory Submission ( Aim for niche directories that are relevant to your field). However, you want to get listed in dmoz.org

7. Offer contests, giveaways, freebies, & incentives to promote people to come to your website.

8. PPC - Paid per click, you can pay for a sponsered link to be on the 1st page of Google. However, Ppc can be quite complex and costly, it’s better to hire a qualifed expert for this type of service.

However, All of these tactis are part of Search Engine Optimization. You have to do your research, and you have to see where you competiton stands. If your competion is on the 1st page of Google because they have 500 pages of keyword rich content, that means that you have to create 600 pages of keyword rich content and more.

Of course it depends on your budget, your objective, your target audience and other factors. However, I hope that is a start. If you want to know more you can visit www.ninalewis.org and ask me more questions. KEYWORD ANALYSIS & RESEARCH TOOLS

Keyword analysis research plays a crucial part when optimizing a website to rank well in the major search engines. Targeted keywords that will convert a web visitor to sales is the ultimate goal of search engine optimization.

In search engine optimization, keyword analysis research play an important role in determining which targeted keywords your website should be using. Ideally, it will be best to select relevant keywords that have high demand and low competition. The nature of the keyword is also important.

If you are selling a product online using your website, it is important to select keywords that bring in buying visitors rather than visitors looking for information. For example a client of mine has a website selling LCD TVs which is immensely competitive.

Instead of targeting to rank well for keywords such as LCD TVs which is too difficult and visitors is too general in nature. (At this time of writing, there are 2.14 million webpages competing for this keyword). I suggest targeting individual model no of LCD TVs he is selling on his website. For example, Sony Bravia KDL-V40XBR1

There are less competition and the visitor would be highly targeted and most likely to buy. Of course, there are less searches for such keywords but in my view, the visitors you get are more inclined to buy and you weed out visitors that are only seeking information.

To get the best results, you should also adhere to basic search engine optimization principles. That means no seo blackhat stuff such as keyword stuffing. It’s a losing battle especially since the major search engine algorithms are constantly getting better and better at detecting spam sites and black hat seo techniques.

If you are interested in digging highly relevant keywords that are not too competitive, then a keyword analysis tool is needed. Doing it manually is tedious and not effective especially if you need to analysis thousands of keywords.

Keyword analysis tools are great. Like spelling checkers, however, there are certain things that they won’t catch, such as the word’s context. Tom Dahm warns you about the issues you need to watch for if you want to use these tools to improve your standings in the search engines.

The easiest trap to fall into is focusing on search popularity numbers alone. If a keyword tool shows that Word A gets 20,000 monthly searches and Word B gets only 5,000 searches, then Word A must be the better choice, right?

Not necessarily. Keyword relevance is at least as important as raw search popularity. As a rule, the more specific a search query, the better your chance of converting a search result into a sale, and sales are what it’s all about.

Consider this example: Overture’s keyword tool say that a whopping 136,960 searches are conducted each month for the term “sports cars,” while only 2,545 searches are conducted for “Jaguar XK8.” But someone searching for “sports cars” is early in the buying cycle and may just be searching for information about different makes and models. Someone searching for a Jaguar XK8 has a clear idea of what they want. This is a much more valuable customer.

Take a quick look at your Web site’s access logs (often called hit logs). You may not realize it, but most logs show you the keywords that people used when they clicked a link to your site at a search engine. (If your logs don’t contain this information, you probably need another program!) Write down the terms that are bringing people to your site.
You probably know who your competitors are (you should, anyway). Go to their sites and open the source code of a few pages at each site — just choose View –> Source from the browser’s menu bar to get a peek. Look for the tag and see if you find any useful keywords there. Often the keywords are garbage, or simply not there, but if you look at enough sites, you’re likely to come up with some useful terms you hadn’t thought of.

Can any one advice me a good Search engine optimization website or SEO Service Provider ?

I know a great Search Marketing Firm that gives you 30 days to see results before you pay.
Very reasonable. The link is below.

How to increase traffic for my website.. ? i want it free if any websites there please list it out here?

http://www.ideasroom.co.cc

This site is designed by me and i want to enable adsense for this.. please help me how to increase free traffic to my website… thankyou

I am not even going to touch the idea of someone that is running a website that teaches others how to improve their site ranking etc coming here to ask this particular question.

I do have one piece of advice though, you may want to fix all the broken links and misspellings before you start trying to drive people to your site. No sense getting people to your site if it does not work or look professional.

How can i promote my website to get traffic?

I want to promote my website to get extra traffic because i need a lot.How can i do that?Do you have any idea? Thanks for advice!

"If you build it, they will come" is not necessarily true on the Web. Putting a website up is one thing, but getting visitors to come to your site is another. The process becomes even more difficult if you have limited resources to market your business.

You can use pay per click advertising in the search engines to reach audiences looking for your products. You can use Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords or Yahoo http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com

Here are some shoestring marketing ideas that can help you get the visitors you need at the least cost possible:

1. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important — and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more - that’s additional traffic that you get for FREE!

Recommend Site Scripts (various) http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Scripts/Website_Promotion/Recommend_Site/
Big Nose Bird Recommend this Site http://bignosebird.com/carchive/birdcast.shtml
CGI Resource Index http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Website_Promotion/Recommend_Site/
Hostscripts http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Site_Recommendation/index.html

3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area.

If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s "Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm

4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. If 50 websites publish your article and it contains a link back to your website, then you easily get 50 links from a single article. The more links you have, the greater your chances for increasing your search engine rankings.

Here is a comprehensive list of where to submit your articles http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=AhzreGmnCUicOoyedqypscUjzKIX?qid=1006022407481

6. Post a link to your site for free where it is allowed (always read the Terms of Use). Examples are:

Craigslist http://www.craigslist.com
Google Base http://base.google.com
Classifieds for Free http://www.classifiedsforfree.com/…
Text Link Exchange http://www.txtswap.com/
Recycler.com http://www.recycler.com/

What would be the best way to maximize traffic to this website?

The website is http://www.all-inclusive-deals.co.uk It is a brand new domain and I need to get more traffic to it. It already is on the first page on Yahoo for "All inclusive Deals" and the Google keyword tool suggest that exact term is search for a couple of thousand times a month. However, that would be a couple of hundred for Yahoo. Google on the other hand doesn’t show the site in the first 100…

Check this, and if you like it I can show you some very helpful tips,Thanks.

How do I get more traffic to my website?

I need a little help getting traffic to my website - it’s very slow going at the moment but not sure how to get more traffic without spending money - although willing to in the future, like with google adwords.

You need interesting content that people will want to read. That’s about it. If all you do is ramble about stupid stuff, then yeah, you’re not going to get much traffic. If you’re talking about current topics like health care reform, iPhone app reviews, etc., you will probably get more hits. The only problem there are a lot of websites that fill this niche–you need to find something that fills a niche that hasn’t been saturated yet.

best way to get organic traffic to a promotional website?

I have built a promotional website, it contains several referral links to survey/offers sites that pay you. I searched around and found out google doesn’t like those kind of sites, what is the best way to get good search engine and page rankings to get organic traffic?

How to generate Quality Targeted Traffic to your website
============== ============== ==============

I.) Content
++++++++++
It is most important factor ever affecting a website’s traffic, that what your website actually contains. And it affects in many ways. Create your website professionally, make it load fast and look great, write correct grammar and write cheerfully. Have a lot of content on your website so that people have reasons to wishlist and bookmark. make your website a brand, make it themed and your logo and banners must match.

II.) Advertising
++++++++++
You can get real quality traffic most easily with Paid per click advertising. you pay only someone interested in your ads clicks them and come to your website, these visitors are very probable to convert into customers.
You must try Google Adwords (with free coupon to start with if you can find one)
http://adwords.google.com

III.) S E O
++++++++++
Search Engine Optimization is never least important. Build a lot of links, submit to social bookmarks, submit to article directories and web directories. Optimize your pages for targeted keywords and see organic traffic start flowing to your pages. Most of the major websites get more than 50% traffic from Search Engines only, so this part is very important. You can hire a permanent SEO Expert ( I will recommend cheap service http://www.Extreme-SEO.net ) or at least get a service which submits your website to as many web directories as possible.

Hope it helps :)
